Royal Mail's last Christmas posting dates for 2020
Royal Mail’s latest recommended posting dates for delivery in the UK in 2020 are:
- Friday, December 18th for second class mail
- Monday, December 21st for first class mail
When will Royal Mail not be delivering post?
There will be no delivery and collection service from Christmas Day through to the 28th, as we get an extra day due to Boxing day being on a saturday, however normal service will resume on Tuesday December 29.
On New Year’s Eve and New Year's Day there will be no deliveries or collections.
Posting Overseas
We will be posting out your mail by the dates below, anything that comes in after these dates will be held until normal Royal Mail service resumes after Christmas.
If you want to reach the rest of the world using the International Standard (formerly known as Airmail) service these are the latest recommended posting dates for your diary:
Friday 4th December - Australia and New Zealand
- Wednesday December 9 for Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Central & South America and the Far and Middle East
- Thursday, December 10 for Cyprus, Canada and Malta.
- Friday, December 11 for Greece, Eastern Europe (ex Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia) and Turkey
- Saturday, December 12 for the Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, Finland, Sweden and USA
- Wednesday, December 16 for Austria, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Portugal, Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Switzerland and Spain
- Friday, December 18 for Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg

If you are planning on ordering right up until xmas please note that our offices will not be sending out any mail after the 21st December.
We will start to post our mail after Christmas on the 29th, once Royal Mail normal service resumes.
